Some of these are shown below.
- Green Building Instutute: Green Building Institute
- With a similar name but NOT the same as the Green Building Certification Institute that tests for LEED AP certification, the Green Building Instutute in Jessup, Maryland is a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster sustainable building practices through education and example. It offers courses and short courses in many topics of interest to homeowners and builders.
- Green Roofs for Healthy Cities: Green Roofs
- This organization offers courses on developing green roofs.
- Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District: LPCCD
- LPCCD is building several LEED certified buildings in the City of Newark. It offers green construction training programs for its employees, including apprenticeship opportunities.
- National Association of Home Builders: NAHB
- The NAHB is a trade association for home builders, offering numerous courses to its members on conventional and green building.
- Solar Energy International: SEI Workshops
- SEI provides education and training to decision makers, technicians and users of renewable energy sources. SEI also provides the expertise to plan, engineer and implement sustainable development projects. Workshops are offered in such topics as PV Design and Installation, Residential Wind Power, and many others in a serious program that can lead to career options. Most of its classes are in Arizona and Colorado, with a few courses available online.
