Over the past few years, numerous major reports on the environment and what to do about it have been issued. The following are links to some of those reports.

2008 Green Collar Jobs in American Cities: Green Collar Jobs
This major report was developed by two organizations: Green For All and The Apollo Alliance. Both organizations are focused on ensuring that some jobs from the new green economy go to inner city residents.
2008 Imagining Newark's Green Future: Newark
This report by The Apollo Alliance documents how the Newark community chose a new narrative for economic development based on environmental sustainability and family-supporting green-collar jobs. The goals and strategies refined during 12 months of intense community meetings and planning sessions were formally embraced by Newark officials and community leaders during Newark’s Green Future Summit, a two-day conference in September 2008.
2008 Kilowatt Ours - A Plan to Re-energize America: Kilowatt Ours
Kilowatt Ours is a documentary by Jeff Barrie that has become a national movement to promote energy conservation, efficiency and renewable energy. It includes discussion of the problems with coal and nuclear for power generation, and sets forth measures to conserve energy through virtual power plants.
2008 Solar Energy Industries Association: SEIA

2006 Al Gore's film, "An Inconvenient Truth": Inconvenient and his Climate Project: Al Gore
The film, "An Inconvenient Truth" opened in New York City and Los Angeles on May 24, 2006. On Memorial Day weekend, it grossed an average of $91,447 per theater, the highest of any movie that weekend and a record for a documentary. It documented the shocking crisis of global warming that to date had not been brought convincingly to the public consciousness. Al Gore's work continues with The Climate Project and his providing resources that continue to document the steep global warming challenge.
