Providing workforce training for "green jobs" through our proven New Jersey community college system

First focus: Building Facilities Management
and Energy Auditing

Project Overview

The purpose of the project is to adapt and develop curricula for use by all of New Jersey's community colleges. The goal is to train individuals in the "green" aspects of 1) construction and renovation and 2) building facilities management (property maintenance and management). The project may extend to outlining a continuum of curriculum for high schools and four year colleges.

See the Resource links to understand some of the work done to date, and to find resources for green curriculum development. See the Project links for project Partners and further project details.

What's Happening

If you represent one of New Jersey's 19 community colleges, please talk with us about your offering these courses at your college.

On Wednesday April 8, 2009, this project hosted a Forum to gather information about desired curriculum from property managers and those involved in "green construction", in Morristown. To see the original invitation, see Forum Invitation.
